The Blood of Dawnwalker Skill Manuals — How to Get Them All

Skill manuals are the consumable books behind every upgrade in the Witchcraft and Swordmastery trees: read one from your inventory and the matching perk or ability rank unlocks. Vampirism never uses manuals — those skills gate on Coen's Corruption level instead, raised by feeding. That split shapes the whole collection loop: shop, loot, and quest your way through two trees, drink your way through the third.

Where manuals come from

• Witchcraft vendors. Dedicated magic merchants stock the Witchcraft shelf — Vera in Maragir Wealds is the reliable early contact, and a second witchcraft vendor operates out of the Sanzhani burrow.
• Swordmastery teachers. The valley's fencing instructors sell the Swordmastery shelf; several titles sit with multiple teachers, and they sell duplicate copies on purpose.
• General merchants occasionally carry a random Swordmastery manual in regular stock.
• World chests. Soldier camps, bandit camps, monster nests, ancient circles, and watchtower summits all seed manuals in their loot.
• Event rewards. Wisp trails and ancient-circle events pay manuals as completion loot.
• Quest rewards. A handful of quests guarantee specific manuals — the most reliable way to claim a must-have.

Manuals worth planning a route around

• Burning Blood — guaranteed by Working Her Magic (hidden room behind the cathedral-adjacent Curious House attic).
• Ravenous Flock — reward from A Pilgrimage for Power: Bear Trouble.
• Charge — automatic from the prologue's main quest, and re-found in soldier-camp chests.
• Artery Strike, Broadswing (Sweep), Walking Fortress — soldier camps plus the Swordmastery teachers; Walking Fortress is stocked in multiples precisely because everyone wants it.
• Mercurial Fervour — a chest atop The Silts tower, or the ancient-circle event route.
• Second Skin II — armor merchants in Svartrau and Tantari, plus the teachers.

Duplicates aren't wasted — extra copies feed the same upgrade track, so restocked vendor shelves are worth revisiting between chapters.
