Page-Turner is The Blood of Dawnwalker's first romance quest — an evening of poetry with Anca that quietly tests whether you were paying attention during Withering Away. It costs 2 time segments, pays out a full level plus a skill point, and is mandatory for anyone pursuing Anca's arc.

How to trigger it

The quest is a branch off the end of Withering Away:

1. During the riverside scene, follow the bond-building answers — keep watching, ask about her scars, apologize.
2. Pay the 50 gold for the herbs rather than putting it on credit (the credit route works, but the immediate payment warms the bond).
3. At the parting, accept the invitation with "I'd love to, I miss evenings like this too." This spends 2 time segments and starts the quest.

The poetry evening, step by step

1. Open with "Let's see what he wrote, then."
2. The word-matching prompt pairs fear → thunder. That's the correct couplet.
3. Ask about the red-covered book — a small line, but it feeds the bond.
4. Insist on reading Catullus together.
5. When the moment invites a reply, answer with "a kiss", then choose "grains of sand."

The herb gathering

After the reading, head outside and help Anca gather herbs. The chest beside her holds loot worth grabbing. Then go back inside, collect all the herbs in the room first, and only then join her by the bed to trigger the closing scene — the order matters, because starting the scene early locks you out of the last picks.

The closing choices

• "You'll have to loosen your top a little" — the forward pick for the romance route.
• "With you here, the book hardly matters" — the warm closer.

Finish the scene and the quest pays out: a level and 1 skill point, on top of the relationship progress.
