Full Blasphemy walkthrough: Gremla's stolen banner, the Focus-mode investigation, the witness trail through the village, and the confrontation that decides how it ends.
Blasphemy is the prologue's detective story: someone has stolen a banner that matters to the village, Gremla wants it back, and Coen gets to play investigator with the Focus ability. It's one of the better-rewarded side quests of the opening days — up to 850 XP, 25 denarii, and a Daylight Amulet — and a genuinely satisfying little mystery.

How to start
During the wait before mass, find Gremla in the middle of Laslea Glen and talk to her. When she fumes about the stolen banner, answer "Killing us does Brencis no good" and take the case.
Investigate the shed
Use Focus mode around Gremla's shed and the nearby ground to collect clues — footprints lead away from the shed's left side to a torn banner fragment. Grab it; it's the physical evidence the whole case hangs on.
Work the witness trail
- The white-haired elder at the shed door: press him — "So you know nothing about this?"
- Follow the objective to the next villager and be straight with him: "I only want to help."
- Find the walking crutch by the third villager's spot and talk to her.
- Finally, corner the man who has been watching all of this — when you present your evidence, accuse him directly: "Why did you steal the banner?" He folds.
The verdict scene
The thief walks you to his painting and explains himself: he wanted to defy the vampires. Your options shape the ending of the case:
- "There are better ways to fight Valexius than this."
- "Enraging Brencis endangers my family." — the protective pick, and the honest one for Coen's situation.
- "This is just a pointless show. You have to give the banner back." — the pragmatic closer.
Return the banner to Gremla to complete the quest. The reward scales with how thoroughly you investigated — somewhere between 75 and 850 XP, plus 25 denarii and the Daylight Amulet, a rare prologue trinket. It also marks a minor story consequence you'll feel in the village's mood.
