Beyond Achilles walkthrough: the statue trial and the fallen hero, the platform climb, Anca's confession with the mandatory 'because I love you' pick, and the fountain of life scene.
Beyond Achilles is the second half of the fountain-of-life excursion and the emotional peak of Anca's arc: a trial of statues and sacrifices behind the ancient door, a boss called the Fallen Hero, and a cliffside confession where one dialogue option is not optional. Every choice below is flagged for the romance route. As with its sister quest, the English title here mirrors the source name, with an in-game spelling check pending.

Through the door
Inside, follow the corridor and clear the creatures along the way. In the statue chamber, examine the statue, and when Anca asks what you're about to do, take "All right… wish me luck." Then put your hand into the statue and hold it there until the chamber door opens — yes, it hurts, and yes, you wake up on the floor.
The corridor trial
When Anca wakes you, the picks run:
- "It's nothing. I'm thick-skinned."
- "Maybe their faith demands sacrifice."
Move down the corridor, loot as you go, and take the door on the upper right into the next wing.
The Fallen Hero
At the end of the wing waits the trial's guardian — the Fallen Hero, this ruin's mini-boss. He fights like a heavier, sadder version of the game's sword specials: big sweeping combos, long recoveries. Shadowstep through his swings and punish the recovery; keep Voracious Bite cycling and the fight is a check, not a wall.
The cliffside confession
Past the boss, squeeze through the crevice to the open cliff — and the quest stops being about loot. The dialogue chain on the ledge runs:
- "I've never heard you curse like that." (white)
- "Anca? What's wrong?" → "Don't say that."
- "You meant to use the fountain of life yourself."
- "I understand. I'd have done the same."
- "No way. I'd do anything for you."
- And then the line the whole arc has been building to — "Because I love you."
That last pick is mandatory for the romance; everything else is the road to it.
The upper chambers
Climb the platform, cross to the steps on its far side, and work your way up. At the top, slip through the crack in the wall into the chamber and move the plank barricading the far door — "Only one way to find out" — then push the stone door open with Anca.
Loot the secret room and examine the murals, drop through the left-hand passage, and take the next trial: examine the statue, survive its challenge, then read the chamber's final mural.
The fountain of life
At the fountain itself, Anca finally says what the water is for. Give her the ending the arc deserves:
- "You're right."
- "Go on. That blood is yours."
- "Good — I'm happy for you."
The walk back to the inn closes the story: "I meant every word I said.", then "To hell with the rules. I want you too.", then "Once more." The scene fades where the romance arc lands — and if you have been building Anca's bond since Withering Away, it lands as one of the game's best-written payoffs.
