The Blood of Dawnwalker Sacred Covenant — Quest Walkthrough — Wiki & Guide

Sacred Covenant walkthrough: the last evening with Pieter, the church conversations with Anca and Esme, and the quiet before Bad Blood turns the prologue.
Sacred Covenant is the prologue's last quiet hour — an evening built around faith, family and the people Coen might lose. There is no combat and almost no time pressure (finish it in one segment if you like); what it offers instead is the game's best character work before Bad Blood takes everything away.

How to start
Go home and talk to Pieter. When the conversation offers it, take the skip-to-evening option to move straight to the mass — the quest is essentially the church sequence, and the game lets you reach it without padding.
The church, and who to talk to
Once inside, you are free to circulate before the service. Two conversations matter:
- Anca, seated behind Pieter. The line you want is "So can I come see you like this sometime, too?" — a small, warm beat that keeps her arc breathing through the prologue's final stretch.
- Esme — sit down beside her to trigger the scene that carries the quest's title. Whatever covenant the evening describes, this is where it's made.
Fill the remaining minutes with the villagers if you like; the pews hold the whole cast, and everyone has something to say on the night before everything changes.
Where it leads
When the service ends, so does the quest — 250 XP for an evening's sitting. Do not let the calm fool you: Sacred Covenant is the latch on the trap. The moment it completes, Bad Blood begins automatically, and the prologue's final night — the mines, the transformation's meaning, and Brencis himself — starts moving.
If you are still holding prologue side quests (Live Bait, the mass-wait quartet), finish them before you go home to Pieter. Once Bad Blood starts, the quiet days are over.
