The Blood of Dawnwalker Will-o'-the-Wisp Locations Guide

Every will-o'-the-wisp trail in The Blood of Dawnwalker: how the follow-the-orb hunts work, what they cost in time, and why the 11 watchtowers matter.
Will-o'-the-wisps — the glowing orbs that hang in the valley's wilds — are The Blood of Dawnwalker's follow-me treasure trails: start walking after one and it leads you through the woods to a chest, with loot that skews heavily toward skill manuals. They're free real estate in item terms, but every completed wisp costs 1 time segment of your 30-day clock, and a wisp abandoned mid-hunt is time you don't get back.

How a wisp trail works
- Follow the glow. The orb drifts along a fixed route; keep pace with it until it stops at a chest, then open the chest to complete the event.
- Clear the road first. Enemies along the route must die before the wisp will move on — a stalled orb means something nearby is still breathing.
- Read the map. Completed and available trails show as a white spark icon on the map. There are six wisp trails in the valley.
Mark them all from the towers
None of the wisp markers appear on their own: climb all 11 watchtowers and the survey reveals every wisp location at once. That makes the tower loop — the one From Above starts — the natural preamble to any wisp-running day.
Should you chase them?
The chest rewards are good — manuals for abilities like Herbal Remedies and Burning Blood come out of these trails — but the time cost is real. Run wisps when the day's quests are done and the segment budget has slack, never on a day with a timed main objective. If the clock is tight, remember the Sanzhani chain can refund a full day — see Letters to Lunka.
