The Blood of Dawnwalker In the Name of the Father Walkthrough

In the Name of the Father starts with a confession at Svartrau Cathedral and ends in ancient ruins beneath a house north of the West Gate, where Father Florin preaches to his followers and you decide whether he leaves the room alive. It pays 250 XP and 1 skill point, costs 2–4 time segments, and — heads up — it's missable. Finishing it opens the door to A Hero's End.

How to start: the confession

Visit the cathedral during the day. After Florin's baptism scene he offers to hear Coen's confession — accept, then confess all three sins: Wrath, Envy, and Gluttony. Choose "Tell me more" and he invites you to a building near the West Gate.

Refused the confession? The quest isn't lost: help the acolyte near the bell tower (1 time segment), take the Treasury Key, and inspect the map in Florin's private office to mark the hideout yourself.

The hideout north of the West Gate

• Invited: use the front door — the beggar guarding it steps aside.
• Not invited: the back door triggers an ambush. Search the attackers for the house key and walk in like you own the place.
• Inside, sweep the rooms with Focus Mode. The room beside the stairs hides a torn-open hole in the floor. Drop down.

Florin, underground

In the ruins, Florin stands mid-sermon surrounded by his flock. Listen, and he offers his intel on slipping into Griefberg Castle — accept it or refuse it, the quest completes either way, and a refusal can be reversed by talking again. Attack, and it completes too — with different loot rules for the next step.

The Ancient Key

• Florin spared: take the Ancient Key from the barrel on the left side of the chamber.
• Florin killed: loot it from his body.

The key opens the sealed door deeper in the ruins — and starting through it begins A Hero's End, the quest that guards one of the game's best weapons behind that door.
