The Blood of Dawnwalker The Price of Magic Quest Walkthrough

The Price of Magic is a self-starting side quest at an unmarked stone circle southwest of the Swamp Menhirs Shrine in The Silts. A wizard died mid-ritual; you collect his scattered tools, ask his corpse what he was doing, finish the job — and fight the Spectres that show up for the ending. Reward: the Mysterious Bracelet, an Epic bracer, plus 100 XP. It's daylight-only, costs 3 time segments, and can't be failed.

Investigate the stone circle

Walk up to the circle to start the quest automatically. With Focus Mode on, investigate the dead wizard in the middle, then gather everything at the site — each item becomes a Catalyst for the interrogation:

• De Vocatione et Ligatione — the summoning treatise by the body
• The Pendant
• The Torn Out Page
• The Discarded Torch
• The Bracelet in its gift box

Compel the wizard's soul

Cast Compel Soul on the corpse and present each Catalyst in turn. His memories fill in the ritual's missing steps — that's the whole investigation.

Finish the ritual, keep the bracelet

Interact with the central runic stone to complete what he started. The ritual's completion summons a wave of Spectres; clear every one of them and The Price of Magic ends with the Mysterious Bracelet in your inventory — despite the name, it's a bracer, and with no Weapon Art attached it's a clean fit for a day loadout built around Witchcraft.
