The Blood of Dawnwalker Bandit's Treasure Maps — All 8 Map Locations & Loot — Wiki & Guide

Vale Sangora hides seven bandit treasure maps and one scholar's map. The bandit maps sit in the region's bandit camps; the scholar's map starts from a corpse. Every map works the same way — find it, track it, dig the mound — but the loot ranges from pocket change to a legendary sword.

How treasure hunting works

• Find a map. In bandit camps, use Focus mode to spot the yellow-highlighted map — sometimes tucked in a container instead of on a table.
• Track it. Tracking from the journal draws the treasure's search area on your map. The Books & Notes tab holds the map itself and a written hint.
• Dig. The treasure is a dirt mound. You need a shovel equipped — any shovel digs every mound, and bandit camps usually stock one. See our shovel locations guide for three guaranteed spawns.

All seven bandit maps

Laslea Glen

• Map: inside the bandit camp in Laslea Glen, on a table after clearing the bandits.
• Dig: eastern Laslea Glen, on the mountainside at the map's edge — a bear guards the spot. Kill it and dig where it fell.

Briar Sloughs

• Map: bandit camp in the woods between Maragir Wealds and the southern groves.
• Dig: western Maragir Wealds, under the large tree by the river.

Riverbank

• Map: bandit camp south of Svartrau city, on a crate by the wooden tents.
• Dig: west of Svartrau, beneath a tree on the river's east bank (the tree shows as an icon on the map).
• Loot: Kingslayer (legendary sword), 197 denarii, a craftsman's sword, tansy.

Boar's Back

• Map: bandit camp west of Svartrau, on a crate behind the wooden tents.
• Dig: middle of the search area, at the dead-end road into the woods — dig behind the big tree.
• Loot: 170 denarii, Claw Ring (rare), a yellow peasant shirt, a salve.

Rockfalls – Pond Island

• Map: bandit camp in Rockfalls, looted from a chest.
• Dig: southwest Rockfalls — find the lake, swim to the island, dig beneath the tree at its center.
• Loot: 175 denarii, Noble Crimson Boots (epic medium boots), a bandit's edge, a salve, a ruby brooch.

Rockfalls – Split Rock

• Map: bandit camp in the southwest corner of the Sunken Sands, looted from a chest.
• Dig: northern Rockfalls, in the mound behind the roadside boulder dead-center of the search area.
• Loot: 175 denarii, Coat of Darkened Scales (legendary heavy chestpiece, level 33), Ring of Humanslaying, a minor keen-eye potion, a radish.

Tantar Woods

• Map: bandit camp in eastern Tantar Woods, lying on a bench.
• Dig: northern Tantar Woods — in the swampy part of the search area, dig the rubble pile on one of the islands.
• Loot: 250 denarii, Knight's Ring (legendary ring), the Loyal Pilgrim's Blade, a weak salve, buttermilk.

The scholar's map (hilltop cemetery)

• Map: west of Rockfalls, inspect a skeleton on the hilltop cemetery — it holds the map and the scholar's key.
• Dig (well, unlock): follow the road north from the skeleton to the ruins at its end, open the right-hand door with the scholar's key, and loot the chest inside.
• Loot: Swift Strike Ring (legendary ring), Ancient Hero's Amulet (rare amulet), and a manual — Blasphemous Echo — worth 250 XP.
